The AAP aims to mobilize as many organizations, Cambodian citizens and officials from government institutions as possible to improve the implementation of legislation, to include them in the legislative process and processes that promote good governance on local level.

Result 1:        Breaches of laws, right violations and crucial issues of local governance are addressed with increased participation of target citizens, stakeholders from civil society and the private sector

Result 2:     Target citizens and civil society organizations have made contributions to the legislative process ensuring that common interest and needs of affected groups are considered in new laws

Result 3:        Advocacy mechanism among AT and PANs are strengthened to elevate provincial advocacy issues to national level and to lobby for government support

The most important AAP activities are:

Constitution Anniversary Day
The program will regular organize the Constitution Days workshop to raise awaireness about the basic rights of Cambodia.

Extension Workshops following the Constitution Day
After the Constitution Day, STAR Kampuchea’s Partner Organizations and the Provincial Advocacy Networks organize extension workshops in different provinces.

Provincial Dialogue Forums
The AAP will organize Provincial Dialogue Forums in 2010. The main focus will be on natural resource conflicts and issues of local governance.

Public Forums on Draft Laws
 AAP will organize Public Forums on Draft Laws to include citizens in the provinces in the law development process..

Publication of Cambodian Laws
To support public education and the impact of the events and advocacy, STAR Kampuchea will provide relevant information material.

Labor Forums
AAP staff will organize one Labour Forum per year (usually May or June) including workers and members from at least 10 trade unions and union federations...

Civil Society Forum
The Civil Society Forum is held every three years in Phnom Penh. SK invites Civil Society Organizations to contact one another and to exchange experience.

Urgent Advocacy
AAP will organize several occasions to strengthen the linkages between provincial and national level networks that advocacy efforts get more streamlined and focused..

Radio Talk Show
The radio program focus on Labor and Farmer issues call "Farmer and Labor´s Vloice".

STAR Kampuchea Newsletter
The Newsletter informs about the activities of STAR Kampuchea, their Cooperating Organizations and Provincial Advocacy Networks.

Publication of Draft Laws
