The program will regularly organize the Constitution Days Workshop to raise awareness about the basic rights of Cambodians. Annually, the Constitution Day Workshops will take place in Phnom Penh and three regions as the North-West, East and South. They will be organized by the AAP team in cooperation with the Advocacy Team (AT) and the respective Cooperating Partners (COs) and Provincial Advocacy Networks (PANs) in the regions. Participants will be members of AT, CO’s and PANS’s target groups and other community based organizations and local NGOs.

In 2009, the right to personal freedom and security in everyday life will be discussed (Article 32 of the Cambodian Constitution). This article has been chosen because of increasing infringements of rights and increasing violence against Cambodian citizens by public bodies. The Constitution Day 2009 will organizing in two provinces, Siem Riep province on 30 September, 2009 and Svay Rieng Province on 23 September, 2009.
