 Until now STAR Kampuchea supports its Cooperating
Organizations, the Advocacy Team and four Provincial
Advocacy Networks as well as People’s Organizations
(POs) and Commune Councils (COs) in Battambang, Banteay
Mean Chey, Kampong Cham, Pursat, Sihanoukville and Svay
Rieng and Kampong Chnang. We plan to extend the support
to other provinces and organizations.
The local organizations and networks receive financial
assistance and advocacy and technical advice. The ACP
supports its partners in the planning and organization
of advocacy action,
peaceful conflict solving strategies, writing reports,
proposals and financial management. Should urgent
conflicts occur, the local organizations can request
further support from STAR Kampuchea for advocacy action.
The ACP aims to empower local people to advocate
independently for their rights and interests and to
ensure that the most vulnerable people are not left
behind. Strong local organizations and networks should
be built.
Other NGOs, Union Federations and Trade Unions
increasingly seek the ACP’s advice, which can be
enlisted by all Civil Society Organizations for a
reasonable fee.
