| Labor Forums |
To strengthen the labor movement in Cambodia, STAR
Kampuchea organizes a series of labor forums in
cooperation with the Union Federations, the Trade Unions
and labor organizations.
 Trade Unions are the legitimate bodies to mobilize
people at the grassroots to tackle labor related
challenges. Therefore the forums aim to improve the
organizations’ and workers’ knowledge and their network
activities. The participants discuss current political
issues and legislation. Discussion topics are, for
example, the Industrial Zone Draft Law, WTO-membership,
and the realization of the Cambodian Labor Law.
Extensive public relations work accompanies the events
to transfer the discussion to a wider audience.
