| Philosophy |
STAR Kampuchea’s overall goal is to build democracy by
strengthening civil society in Cambodia. To achieve
these goals STAR Kampuchea has set the following
objectives:
· To encourage grassroots organizations to demand the
implementation of legislation
· To involve grassroots organizations in the legislative
process
· To enhance the advocacy capacity of civil society
organizations
· To build up a strong and lively STAR Kampuchea
foundation to decrease the dependency of STAR
Kampuchea
and its partners on foreign donors
In accordance with the Code of Ethics of NGOs and
People’s Organizations, STAR Kampuchea has established
fundamental democratic standards within the
organization, in its programs and in cooperation with
partners and other civil society organizations. The
organizational management aims to strengthen
accountability, transparency and professionalism.
STAR Kampuchea intends to empower women in both its
organizational structure and its programs and promotes
women’s rights.
