Each provincial network raised a different agenda at their respected meetings, although mostly discused about the stratergies and the challenges in implementing social accoutability, good govennance, information sharing, task and responsible sharing of network members, instalation and advantages of accesing the internet and library, and finacial reports.
Below is a brief outline of the challenges each provincial network face:
- The information on social accountability is not widely distributed. Most people do not understand yet, which means that more time is needed in educating people how to participate in the process of social accountability.
- The level of peoples education on the Law and the level of illiteracy
- Lack of transportation to enable people to access the internet and library at the network office
- Students and individuals did not have enough knowledge in how to use the internet which has resulted in the need for more time to explain.
- Most of the internet users were students, government officials and NGO staff
- Lack of library equipment (Bookshelf and table)
- Not enough books which suited the needs of the reader, especially ones which covered law
- The first internet connection installed was poorly installed. Also people were not aware of its presence as it is located on the second floor. Now, after changing internet provider, the connection is faster. Also more local people have been informed to its location through announcements at local schools, communities and network NGOs
- Event: DND contributed 4 computers but this is still not enough.
Member organizations have been very busy with their own activities using only one computer, so it is difficult for the visitors to access to internet and the internet service is not well connected.
