land Conflict between 3 representatives of Teng Mao land community with the top ranking PM officer:

Three victims of Teing Moa land community have been accused with destroying the property of the top ranking Military Police officer. This has resulted in one of them (Mr. Koeut Nor, chief of Teing Moa land community) being arrested and imprisoned. Star Kampuchea' lawyer submitted the defense application to Svay Reing Provincial Court to release him from jail.  Now he has been released and is on bail awaiting trial.

Four victims of Varin forestry community have been accused by the Koksrok village chief with slander. Star Kampuchea's lawyer has submitted the defense application to Siem Reap Preliminary Court and representing the community as their defense lawyer during the court trail. The village chief claims damages which amount to $2500 from each defendant. Star Kampuchea’s lawyer action in this case was to present the evident to the court. The result of the court decided to excuse one of defendants and reduce the penal fee from $2500 each to only 1,000,000 Riels which is equal to $250 for the remaining 3 defendants. According to the above preliminary court decision, the defendants did not accept the judges decision. They have therefore submitted their defense application to the court of appeal. The Star Kampuchea lawyer will continue to represent them and is awaiting a trial date.     

The criminal charge of provincial governor to six individual people in Prey Prech Land Community:

The STAR Kampuchea lawyer submitted the application and relevant documents to proof evidence for the defense of the six individuals from Prey Prich land community. They were to be defended at Banteay Meanchey Preliminary Court last year (2008) in relation to the criminal charge and intending to kill the provincial governor. After the investigation of magistrate, on 23rd June 2009 the STAR Kampuchea lawyer received the non-suit-order (clemency letter) from the magistrate of Banteay Meanchey Preliminary Court to excused those six defendants. This resulted in the six defendants of Prey Prich land community being free.
