Radio Show on labor and labor related issues
The radio show is sent on Thursday, Each the third
and forth week of every month, 7.30 - 8.30 am., station
FM 105 (Sambokhmoum).
TRAINING COURSES
Training Courses
The STAR Kampuchea Team conducts training courses on
Land and Forestry Law and on Fishery Law. It also offers
training courses which aim to strengthen organizations’
advocacy and organizational capacity.
New Training Course on Grassroots Advocacy
At present STAR Kampuchea is developing a “Training of
Trainers” (TOT) on “Grassroots Advocacy”, which will
focus on strengthening local organizations’ capacity to
tackle specific land, fishery and forestry conflicts.
Study tours
STAR Kampuchea regularly organizes study tours to
different Cambodian provinces or abroad focusing on
advocacy of land, fishery and forestry issues. The
participants should benefit from the experience from
NGOs and communities in other parts of the country and
the world and build up their own advocacy skills.
ADVICE AND SUPPORT
Advice for local NGOs
The Advocacy Capacity Building Program offers local NGOs
assistance through financial management, advocacy and
technical advice. It offers advice in the early stages
of new people’s organizations. The aim is to build
strong local organizations and networks.
Facilitation of meetings, seminars, workshops and
conferences
STAR Kampuchea’s team members organize community
meetings, public forums, seminar and conferences. Our
team is in particular experienced in dealing with land,
fishery and forestry conflicts.
Research
STAR Kampuchea has the capacity and experience to carry
out research also a mass noun!) in different fields such
as the implementation of Cambodian legislation or the
development of democracy and civil society. We look

Translation
STAR Kampuchea has extensive experience in the
translation of laws and legislative documents as well as
reports and documentation. If you need support, please

EVENTS
Constitution Anniversary Day
Cambodian NGOs and individuals are invited to discuss
the implementation of the Cambodian Constitution on the
occasion of the Constitution Day. The next Constitution
Day takes place in September 2005.
Extension Workshops following the Constitution Day
Does your organization want to raise awareness of the
Cambodian Constitution at local level? In cooperation
with your organization, STAR Kampuchea can organize
workshops, which discuss the constitution on the basis
of people’s everyday life and experience.
Civil Society Forum
Local, national and international organizations are
invited to discuss possible strategies for fostering
civil society organizations in Cambodia. The next Civil
Society Forum takes place in November 2005.
Provincial Dialogue Forums
Provincial Dialogue Forums
offer the opportunity to
discuss and find solutions for land, forestry or fishery
conflicts. STAR Kampuchea offers advice and support
through the organization of a Provincial Dialogue Forum.
Public Forums on Draft Laws
Cambodian society should have the opportunity to
influence the legislative process. At Public Forums
local people can learn how legislation affects their
everyday lives and collects recommendations concerning
possible improvements of the draft law. Public Forums
can be organized on the occasion of the publication of
new draft laws.
Labor Forums
To strengthen the labor movement in Cambodia, STAR
Kampuchea organizes a series of labor forums in
cooperation with the Union Federations, the Trade Unions
and labor organizations. Interested NGOs and individuals
are invited to take part.
VOLUNTEERING
Volunteer Action for Cambodia
Should you you be interested in hosting a foreign
volunteer, we would like to invite you to participate in
the program “Volunteer Action for Cambodia” (VAC). The
program brings foreign students and graduates to
Cambodia to exchange cultural and work experience.

Volunteer placements for Cambodian Students
STAR Kampuchea offers internships for Cambodian students
in different fields of work. Students usually intern for
between six months and one year. Interested students
