Should a new draft law, decree or praka be presented,
STAR Kampuchea reacts immediately to monitor and
influence the Cambodian legislative process in
cooperation with other NGOs.
The AAP stays in contact with representatives from the
legislative bodies to keep abreast of new draft laws.
Should a new draft law, decree or praka be presented,
the AAP invites other NGOs and interested groups to ad
hoc meetings to discuss the draft and to agree on
recommendations and joint actions. The advocacy actions
are accompanied by extensive public relations activities. This strategy should enable civil
society organizations to become recognized partners in
the legislative process.
